The cleaned tables behind this site, free for any use without permission or attribution. A link back helps other people find the source. Each file regenerates with the same nightly pipeline that rebuilds the pages, so it is never older than what you read here. Data refreshed September 17, 2026.
One row per named trail on National Forest System land. Rows are built by grouping the segments of the Forest Service TrailNFS_Publish layer by trail name and forest, so a trail that crosses two forests appears twice. Every named trail is here, including the short ones that have no page on this site.

One row per trailhead in the Forest Service Recreation Opportunities layer, with the season the forest publishes and the trails on this site whose line passes within a third of a mile. Points whose name contains trailhead are included even when the layer files them under another activity.

Provenance and cadence
Source: the Forest Service TrailNFS_Publish layer, read from the agency map server once a week and aggregated from segments into named trails, with forest names from the Administrative Forest Boundaries layer, trailheads from the Recreation Opportunities layer and wilderness overlap from the National Wilderness Preservation System layer published by Wilderness Connect. Trails without a page on this site are in the CSV with the same fields. A trail that crosses from one forest into another is one row per forest, because the Forest Service records it that way.
A GitHub Actions job rebuilds the site nightly and republishes these files. The snapshot date changes only when the data does. Corrections and questions: open an issue.
