About Trailhead Atlas
Trailhead Atlas is an independent reference for trails on National Forest System land. It lists every named trail in the Forest Service's published trail layer with its length, its trail class, what is allowed on it, where its line starts and ends, the trailheads recorded near it, the wilderness it enters and the campgrounds within five miles. Every fact links back to the agency record it came from.
The site does not track trail conditions, closures or hazards. Each trail page says so and links the forest's official page, which does.
Trailhead Atlas is part of the Atlas network of public-data references, alongside Park Atlas, Campsite Atlas and Register Atlas. It is not affiliated with the Forest Service or any federal agency.
Trailhead Atlas is a working name. The site will be renamed before it is promoted.
Trailhead Atlas is published and operated by Lev & Lumber LLC, a California limited liability company.
